About Us

Our story

Place Buildings started with a simple idea: people need space of their own.

Space to focus without distractions.
Space to create, rest, host a family, or build something meaningful.
And that space should feel intentional, beautiful, and built to last.

Living and building in Maine, I saw how often homeowners needed more room—but not the cost, complexity, or disruption of a full home addition. I wanted to create something different: premium backyard structures and ADUs that feel like real living spaces, not temporary sheds or flimsy add-ons.

That’s why every Place building is designed with durability, comfort, and long-term use in mind. We use high-quality insulation and premium materials such as composite siding and SPC vinyl flooring to create spaces that feel solid, quiet, and comfortable year-round—whether they’re used as a home office, creative studio, private guest suite, or a fully functional accessory dwelling unit.

Flexibility is a core part of our philosophy. Our buildings are designed to be installed efficiently and, when needed, relocated without heavy machinery like cranes. This approach minimizes disruption to your property, helps control delivery and setup costs, and gives homeowners the freedom to adapt as their needs change over time.

At the end of the day, Place Buildings is about more than structures.
It’s about creating space for people to work better, live more comfortably, support family, or generate income—right in their own backyard.
